The Hilula of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai (the Rashbi) is observed on Lag BaOmer at his resting place in Meron. It is a powerful day of light, joy and prayer — a time when the gates of mercy are wide open and personal requests are joined to the merit of the Rashbi.
